Thursdays are The Urmston Urmstonites Quiz Night from a Virtual Urmston in Trafford

Online Time: 7pm ready for an 8pm start every Thursday.

The Thursday night Hot Spot Quiz at The Urmston has been the longest and best established smartphone quiz and once the lockdown period came into being, taking it online was the obvious answer.

This fantastic recently refurbished JW Lees pub has been a massively central focal point of the local community for a great many years. The Quiz Night is one of the most popular nights of the week and although the pub couldn’t stay open as normal, there was a need to keep all the loyal regulars together and in touch with one another. Taking the quiz online was a foregone conclusion and something that everyone was eager to try. With the support of The Urmston‘s Landlord, Tim Banks, we got to work taking the pubs quiz night following into the virtual world. Every Thursday practically all the quiz teams that we had in the put moved over and online to continue playing, as they would normally do on a Thursday night. We successfully, managed to move all of the regular quizzers online, keeping the local community and staff together, happy and involved with their very own dedicated Hot Spot Quiz TV – Live Night every Thursday Night!

Although Thursdays have been set-up for The Urmston regulars, it’s open to everyone in the Urmston, Trafford, Stretford, Irlam and Davyhulme area and beyond.
